Privacy policy

The Office is a personal tool with a single user, who is also its developer. It has no other users and no sign-up.

What it accesses

• Gmail, read-only (gmail.readonly), for a single mailbox the owner controls. It reads notification emails — forum thread notifications and job alerts — and extracts the title, link and date.
• Google Search Console, read-only, for websites the user owns.

It never sends, deletes, labels or modifies email. It does not read the mailboxes of anyone else, and it has no access to contacts, Drive, Calendar or any other Google service.

What is stored, and where

Only what is extracted: a title, a link, a date, and whether the user has already dealt with it. That is kept in a private database belonging to the user, and on the user's own computer. Message bodies are not archived. Nothing is published; the dashboard is private and requires the user to sign in.

What is not done with it

The data is not sold, shared, transferred to third parties, used for advertising, used to build profiles of anyone, or used to train machine-learning models. It is read by one person about their own accounts.

The Office's use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Retention and removal

Extracted items are deleted once they are no longer relevant. Access can be withdrawn at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions, which immediately stops all access. To have stored data deleted, use the contact route below.
